Coverage

Serving Saskatoon and the surrounding region

Prairie Underground works out of the Saskatoon region and travels for scheduled work. Rural municipalities, hamlets and small-town water utilities outside this list are welcome to call. If the work can be planned, the distance is usually manageable.

Rural municipalities are welcome. Hydrant, valve and manhole programs can be scheduled together to keep mobilization costs down.

How the coverage breaks down

Saskatoon

Inside the city, most of the work is on private assets — industrial yards, commercial sites, apartment complexes and institutional campuses — where the hydrant, valve or manhole sits behind the property line and the responsibility to maintain it sits with the owner.

The Highway 11 and 12 corridor

Martensville, Warman, Osler, Hague, Rosthern, Dalmeny and Langham have all been building steadily. New pavement settles, and frames, lids and valve boxes that sat at finished grade when the subdivision went in rarely stay there.

Aberdeen, Delisle and the surrounding RMs

Corman Park and the smaller utilities around it are served on a scheduled basis. A system with no certified operator on staff can have its hydrants, valves and manholes covered in one mobilization rather than three.
